Johnson City Bank is currently seeking to fill the position of a full time Teller

Job Description:

Our teller’s role is to warmly welcome customers to our bank, efficiently process the customer’s request, and build trust that Johnson City Bank can help them with all of their financial needs. Tellers are the face of our company and represent Johnson City Bank in the community. Tellers will have exposure to a variety of responsibilities, people and experiences in a professional work environment.

As a Teller with Johnson City Bank, you will be responsible for providing teller services while meeting Teller Performance Standards and providing quality customer service. Responsibilities will include conducting all credit and debit transactions in compliance with established bank policies and procedures; such as cashing checks, receiving deposits, making withdrawals, receiving loan payments, making credit card advances and preparing change orders for customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer services such as cashing checks, receiving deposits, making withdrawals, receiving loan payments, making credit card advances, preparing change orders for commercial customers, etc.

  • Balance cash drawer and other receipt daily, as well as ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) when required.

  • Process various Night-Drop and Mail transactions as needed.

  • Wrap and bag coin, verifying currency, mix new currency and turn-in mutilated currency.

  • Enhances customer satisfaction and the professional reputation of the Bank by warmly greeting, engaging, and developing good professional relationships with customers.

  • Practices branch security procedures and protects customer confidentiality and privacy.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties such as filing, answering phones, maintaining supplies, etc.

  • Ability to work and adapt to changing organizational and operational needs and take on additional principal duties and responsibilities as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required.

  • Proficiency with 10 key touch, Microsoft Office, and knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, banking software applications.

  • Good math and calculator skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. bag/boxes of coins.

  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed or scheduled.
